🎥 Nuclearism
This library will educate you about nuclear weapons but in a special way. There will be no Hiroshima and Nagasaki movies or scenarios of what nuclear weapons use would imply.
Nuclearism, in contrast, is a word that points to the thinking, the culture, the ethics, the values, and the justifications of nuclear weapons, whether their sheer existence, place in doctrines and theories of their use.
It will - over time - also contain videos about nuclear abolition, nuclear-free zones, etc. And it will cover the past, the present and the future and how to create a nuclear weapons-free world. So, perhaps paradoxically, the military and war aspects of nukes are not what we focus on here. Why? One, because it makes people feel hopeless; two, it has no proven effect upon the necessary abolition of nuclear weapons; and three, because we need to focus on constructive alternatives to the nuclear age.
We believe it is much more productive to focus on the thinking that leads to nuclear weapons than on the weapons themselves.
