This problem has not occurred in a vaccum. Greenland is not only far bigger than Denmark, it's nowhere near Denmark and populated by native peoples of the Arctic who are not Danish whatsover. They are just people whose land the Danish ruling class wanted - and took. The idea therefore, that Greenland is a part of the kingdom of Denmark at all, is a farce.

What on earth could "Danish soveregnity" over Greenland be then other than colonialism, an act which international law deems to be a crime against humanity, and which should be stopped immediately?

This is further compounded by the rank hypocrisy of Denmark being a country in which the Greenlanders have historically been discriminated against, and a nation which is currently in a frenzy of xenophobia and rejecting foreign immigrants. But the Danish want to still control the Greenlanders - in Greenland!

And yet, have you see the above comment in even a single newspaper or TV station, let alone what claims to be independent liberal media on the internet? How many of them have in this saga, given a voice to the many Greenlanders who would say it too?

Totally agree that any international agreement made "in perpetuity" and giving one foreign country control over another, is a disgrace. But this shameful transfer of colonial power has occured in an environment where Danish colonialism is given a free pass by everyone, inside and outside Denmark, without critique or comment. There's the underlying problem.

And we are not going to have peace in this world while blatant Danish colonialism is given a free pass, and is given acceptance by being cloaked in hand-wringing over the fact that one set of colonial thugs was bullied by another.

Colonialist thugs have always written agreements like this and had them signed, at gun point. That this set of thugs decided to add unprecedented scandal to the artform of colonial agreements by addding the words "in perpetuity" to the contract, simply highlights that they feel they can be blatant. How else were they to demonstrate that they had permanently toppped the already widely accepted Danish colonisation of Greenland?

I couldn’t agree more. You’ve put into words exactly what I was thinking. If it were just down to this Trump, he'll be dead in a few years. It’s the Epstein mafia that won’t rest until the whole planet is a stinking, black, burnt, toxic hellhole. (The world is not enough...) If the takeover of Greenland incurs costs, the EU will foot the bill. And by ‘EU’ I mean: us, the people, with our health and education systems, our pension funds, our infrastructure and our well-being.
